Location: Calgary (Truck Shop)

Experience Level: 2-5 Years
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Check various types of heavy equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computer and other testing equipment to determine extent of repairs
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components
- Test equipment for proper performance to ensure repairs meet manufacturers specifications
- Order all parts to the correct machine and work order
- Make all repairs in a timely and efficient manner and strive to meet deadlines
- Fill out proper work orders and enter repair notes into company maintenance program
- Return all outstanding parts, tools or equipment used during repairs
- Be dressed and on the floor ready to work at least 5 minutes before shift starts
- Support co-workers and be a team player
- Follow all Health and Safety laws and guidelines
- Ensure a safe, organized and clean workspace
- Maintain shop tooling and equipment in proper working order
- Perform preventative maintenance, regularly scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs
- Be able to work extended hours when needed
Requested skills and experience:
- Fluent in English – both written and oral
- Heavy Equipment On Road Technician with Red Seal
- CVIP Certification
- Class 5 Driver’s License with Air
- Computer skills an asset
- Have own hand tools
